Yup that's correct, everything's gonna be alright. This morning I had a great conversation with my best friend about life and people who suck. We both agreed on a lot of things, which we typically do. Bottom line is now is the time to be happy. Live everyday to it's fullest and make sure you are accomplishing your dreams. Traveling seems to be a a common thread shared between us. We both love it and that's something that makes us happy.
So with that little ramble said, I need to travel more. I haven't gone on a "all about lauren" vacation since 2008. My good friend from Australia came to the states and I traveled across the country with her while she was here. Now it only seems fair that I go and visit her. (damn america and it's work rules) Why is it most other countries take over a month off for vacation/holiday. Most jobs in the US allow their employees 7 holidays and maybe 2 weeks vacay! BOOO!!
So I've decided it's time to visit some places I love. I want to go to Australia at the end of the year and maybe spend New Years with Lucia (something I've said I would do before) But now I'm gonna do it! Also, next summer I want to spend my 30th bday in Europe. I think a trip to Paris, Italy and Greece would work. I want to spend more time visiting the museums, shopping and eating my way through Paris. I want to revisit Italy and make it to the southern Amalfi coast.
And lastly, I want to hop from greek island to island. Sounds superb! If I go it alone so be it. I'm want to have the time of my life.
Traveling does make me happy. I think the most happy/carefree I have ever been was the summer of 2006. I spent my birthday and most of the month of june/july traveling Europe with an amazing group of people. Some I continue to be in touch with to this day. I need to make myself happy and traveling/exploring the world does that. So, yeah! Let's do it!
Today, thanks to Meredith, I have this great I can do anything attitude. I sure hope it keeps up!
Everything HAS to be alright :)
